Usually if it pops on the dash a gearbox fault its a battery issue, been sitting too long or weak. Transmission fault (manual disco 3) Have 2006 Discovery 3 manual which comes up with a transmission fault and an 'e' is displayed where the gear numbers appear on the dashboard.
